Powerped Brushless Planetary geared motors

Planetary gears spread out the load over the gears and are well balanced. They also provide the highest torque compare to all other motors and have a long life span. Their torque can reach 25 – 35Nm for a 200 – 350W motor. Older style brushed motors or non geared brushless used by many of our competitors are only capable of 8-15Nm of torque for the same power output and consumption. Powerped geared brushless type motors are excellent energy savers and they are a new trend in the electric bikes where the light weight is a main priority. They can provide the same torque as a motor twice more powerful and have the same range with a battery twice as small. ALL our Powerped Bikes use these types of motors. All Electric bikes should have all geared motors which increases their torque and reduces the battery drainage.

The Back Track and EVO package is just about as good as it gets. The Dodsun Back track and the EVO Kit are a marriage made in heaven. They work beautifully together. The strong frame and well positioned mounting points for the rear rack together with quality componentry make this package unbeatable.

This combo simply destroys hills! Pedal and motor makes light work of most hills. We have had outstanding feedback from customers using this product. It really is the ultimate electric bicycle.

E-Bike FAQ's

Comments on Regenerative Braking

Regenerative braking refers to the motor feeding current and volts back into the battery to recharge when heading downhill or slowing to a stop. In bicycle application we don't recommend this feature. Why? Typically bicycles have low levels of weight and inertia and do not allow a reasonable benefit for re charging. We prefer to use geared free wheeling motors with high quality NSK Japanese Barings that allow the rider to pedal with little or no resistance in the motor. This makes pedaling easy with or without the motor. We have ridden non gear motors and believe us, it a tough task to pedal an e-bike without the battery and using a non geared motor. Always choose geared BRUSHLESS motors as this will outlast and outperform any brushed alternative.

ZEPHYR - Zephyr is a very good all-round helmet with all Etto standard equipment such as click-on visor, insect net, reflex, and Powerstrap® adjustment system. A very nice touch is the special silver-grey EPS line which gives the Zephyr exiting colour combinations. $50
